Eli has big feet!!

Eli wanted to wear his dads snow boots. they are just a little big. He loves to wear them!!

Eli Ouch!!

On Saturday we were washing sheet and Devon had pulled the mattress of the top bunk. Eli and him decided they could put it back up and somehow it fell hit Eli and knocked him down. He hit his head on the dresser and this is what he has to show for it. The picture on the left is the day of and the picture below is today.

Pictures!

I was getting ready to take the picture of the boys for Christmas and Eli and Devon were messing around. Well while I was fixing dinner they were suppose to be getting ready for pictures and I looked up at Eli and this is what he looked like. Needless to say pictures weren't taken and there were little boys that were in big trouble.

Helping with the basement

We sent the weekend helping mom and dad with the basement. We had to take a picture or the pink wall. It was a surprise every time you walked into the room. You were not expecting it at all.

Here are some pictures of the room empty. We moved the fireplace closer to the wall and taped and textured the walls and the ceiling. It will be nice when it is done.

Here is Cad working hard on the texture for the room. He was really surprised after doing the whole room that he wasn't sore the next day.

Monday I went down and help mom primer and paint the room. I forgot to take pictures so I will have to take some now that the room is finished.

Thanksgiving!

This Holiday started a little early Sunday just before thanks giving. It started snow really big flakes. Before this picture was taken we didn't have any snow.

It snowed all day and night sometime during the night the wind started to blow. Monday No school and with the weather forecast School was closed till the Monday after Thanksgiving. Beau was sad about this but the others were really glad they had a long break. We were snowed in many times and the boys think we need a tractor after all that shoveling. Cad and Beau spent one night just trying to get people unstuck. They were pulling people out left and right and just after they came home Jefferson county closed all roads in the county.
Our thanksgiving was pretty quite it was just us and Grandma. We had the usual turkey feast, played lots of games. It was a nice calm week. We did do some work on the basement and will be trying to finish that the week they have off for Christmas.

Cad learned to write his name!

The other day Cad came home from work and we asked him how is day was. He stated very excited that he learned how to write his name. We were all a little surprised by this. He then let us know that he wrote his name with a set of robot arms. He brought this home an placed it on the fridge.

Eli loves the camera.

Eli was taking pictures of himself. I think the flash made it so he made these faces.

The Love room!!!

Well this last weekend started with me moving all the kids into the same bedroom. For some reason the boys think they need to fight and get into thing. So we decided they get to be together in the same room for a while.

Beau and Coby are sharing a bed and Eli and Devon are in the bunkbeds. They all have one draw in the dresser except Eli he has two. The rest of the clothes are hung up.
I am hoping this will help them get along better.

Cad decide since they were all up stairs we would start on the basement. He wanted to remove the rooms we had put in and make that room the family room. So the boys will be living like this for awhile. We are like how the basement looks now. It will be nice when we get it finished.

Eli took these pictures and many others when he found the camera.

Dad's Birthday!!

This is my first fondant cake. Dad really like his truck cake. It was fun to make and share with everyone that was there to eat it. It is a very sweet frosting. The inside was a pumpkin cake with cinnamon sugar cream cheese filling.

Halloween!!!

Beau as a cool skateboarder. Coby is Pirate. looks tough!

Beau and Coby Playing around. Dr. Devon Christensen

Eli was a clown look at his face painted up
He was very excited to go trick R treating . We put his shoes in Beau's Shoes it made him look like he had clown feet I am not sure I can get that video on here.
If I can I will post it later.

We were invited to a Halloween party in our old neighborhood and they requested I make this kitty litter cake. The boys love this cake. Coby had a camp out that weekend and he asked me to make sure he was saved some of this cake.
This is part of grandmas flower bed we have been working on this picture was taken on the 19th of October. They are so pretty and I was surprised they were still blooming this late in the season.
I cut a lot of them off and dried them and made here an arrangement on her entertainment center. So she has pretty flower to look at all year round.

Oct 27th Devon lost 2 more teeth. He was so excited to have lost one at school and the other at home. They are so small I am surprised he didn't loose it.

He wanted to make sure we had a really good picture of this missing teeth.

Well this week we started off with recovering from our quick trip to Nebraska. We were back on track after a couple of days. Then for some reason I decide it was time to clean house and the kids had made a mess in the basement so I was determined to clean it up and reorganize it. It only took us a few days to completely clean and reorganize the basement.

Grandma again has her usual bronchitis. We took her in Saturday morning just as she was starting with it and I think we caught it very early and she is recovering as quick as she is able to.

After getting Grandma taken care of we decide to clean out the garage and get it ready so Cad can work in there and we can actually park in there when he isn't working on a car. We also cleaned up the back yard. I feel like we have been spring cleaning in the fall. We are starting to catch up on all the stuff we have wanted to do but haven't had the time to. With winter around the corner we have really been pushing.

This last weekend we went to Nebraska quick trip. Cad's Parents bought our tahoo from us and we wanted to deliver it there before the snow began to fall.

While we were there the boys were able to go hunting. The boys shot 6 turkeys. They had a blast. I think the grown-ups enjoyed the hunting as much as the kids.

It was a long trip for a short weekend but we really had a lot of fun.

Eli Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELI!!!!
Grandma J gave him a card with three one dollars the way ELi put it . He was really excited about the money.

He also got to open these fruit snack. I thought he would really not be very happy with this present since all he has talked about it the Green machine.
This to most of us would be a big wheel modified.
He loved it and rode it most of the afternoon.

He had also mentioned he really wanted a monster truck cake. I was a little concerned about it since I had never tried to use fondant. I really wanted to try it so we made this cake.

Cad was lighting the candle. He ended up lighting it twice since when he blew the match out he blew out the candle for Eli.

All in all it was a great day.

We took the boys to the fair to ride the rides.
We arrived bought wrist bands so they could ride as many rides as they wanted.

Eli went and got on the swing ride all by himself I started to feel a little sad that he was so big he really didn't need me as much anymore. He had a blast and laughed the whole time on this ride.

Beau and Coby went to together and rode quite a while and Eli and Devon rode rides together. He also went on these rides and the slide. about 50 times. He loved the slide the most.

I think all in all we had a good night.

Coby and Beau met up with us and Beau was feeling a little sick but Devon and Eli were going to ride the marry go round. Coby decided to ride with him. We thought this picture made him look a little scared of this ride.

He really didn't want me to take his picture.
